Ride Information
East Fork Stables CTR CLINIC. East Fork Stables, Jamestown, TN Saturday, August 14, 2010. 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Sponsored by: NATRC Region Five. This clinic is designed for the first-time NATRC (North American Trail Riders Conference) competitors and novice riders who are interested in improving their horsemanship skills. The purpose of the clinic is to offer a hands on approach to all aspects of Competitive Trail Riding. Clinic leaders will conduct paddock demonstrations and provide practical insight into all levels of competing. The clinic is open to all levels of riders and equines. You will learn the proper methods of training and conditioning horses for competitive trail riding. Participants will learn how to “vet in” and “vet out”, do a tack check, and methods to stable their horse at a competition. Participants are encouraged to bring and use their helmets. There will be an optional afternoon trail ride or the opportunity to work with leaders "in camp". *Clinic Fee $35 with horse *Audit Only (no horse) $20 *Jr Riders $25 **Lunch included for all entries. Proof of Negative Coggins due at Check-in. Check-in will begin at 3:00 p.m. CDST on Friday, August 13 and at 8:00 a.m, on Saturday, August 14. **Please register by August 10, 2010 (for food preparations to be made). **Checks can be mailed to Clinic Secretary Virginia Tolbert, 9598 W. Antioch Church Rd., Lenoir City, TN 37772. Directions: West from Knoxville on I-40 or East from Nashville on I-40, take Crossville exit #317. Follow the signs toward Jamestown for approximately 25 miles on Hwy 127 N. Turn left into the East Fork property. Stop at the East Fork Stables Office to register and show coggins papers. Follow directions to clinic site. Camping is available at East Fork Stables for those wanting to come early or stay late. Make reservations directly with East Fork Stables at (1-800-97-TRAIL).
