Ride the Edge will be held at East Fork Stables on the Cumberland Plateau.
Primitive camping is available and is covered in the ride fee. There are a
number of sites with electrical hookup at an additional charge ($20/night). All
camping arrangements are made through ride management rather than East Fork
Stables. Please note number of nights on application or on-line registration.
Drinking water, horse water, wash-rack, hot showers & restroom facilities are
available on site.
The mountainous, well maintained trails include forest trails, dirt and (some)
gravel roads. There are about 20 scenic overlooks on the two-day ride. Open

plateau. It is recommended (not required) that horses be well shod. Horses in
competition will be stationary-tied or picketed when not on trail or are
unattended. Please bring tree savers for picketing in the woods. East Fork
does fine riders for horses eating their trees. The pace (based on weather and
trail conditions) will be from 3.5 - 5 mph. for Novice / CP and from 4 - 6 mph
for Open.
